Automotive Solution Marketing is responsible for marketing our critical information sets, analytics and expertise with the mission of enabling the acceleration of IHS Automotive revenue growth.
You will oversee the development and execution of IHS Automotive s global commercialization strategy to drive new business, retain existing business, and enable expansion opportunities into new customer sectors and end-use markets.
The team acts as a partner of our automotive business line, Corporate and Field Marketing, Sales and other key stakeholders in collaboratively driving the overall IHS commercialization process.
This position is in the Global Marketing organization and a member of the IHS Automotive business line management team.
Key
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain an understanding of cross-portfolio value for IHS Automotive solutions and its intersecting industries/workflows such as oil & gas, electronics, economics and pricing & purchasing.
Partner with IHS Automotive business line leaders to understand the IHS Automotive portfolio strategy and build out market and product launch plans that are fully synced with business & revenue goals.
Build messaging and value propositions at portfolio and product & service level, including market and competitive analysis, segmentation and positioning.
This may include but is not limited to sales support and a common bill of materials that reach across ihs.
com, IHS Connect, e-commerce, product sites and more.
Manage demand generation and expansion efforts by developing targeted audience-based communications based on functional, buyer and influencer personas.
Work closely with regional and event marketing teams to drive the business & product marketing strategy via channel utilization, theme/agenda development, webinars, workshops, social media, thought leadership, ihs.
com, and more.
Track, measure and report against objectives.

Responsibilities:
Multi-tasking and agility- Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully execute projects under a heavy workload and changing conditions is critical Management ability to direct and lead a small team of Automotive product marketing managers.
Desired Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications.
Experience marketing within the automotive industry is a must.
10-15 years of experience in a marketing function, with emphasis on strategic and/or product marketing.
Ability to work as an effective leader who is open and transparent with decisions and can develop working relationships needed to accomplish organizational goals.
Strong project management skills coupled with a high attention to detail and superior multi-tasking abilities.
Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast paced environment, balancing both strategic and tactical responsibilities, with geographically distant stakeholders.
Strong marketing analysis, project management, marketing communications and strategic planning skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
