Quality Engineer
Growing Oakland County Company ! Tier one manufacturer is looking for a talented Quality Engineer Quality Engineer 6 Plus Years functioning as a Quality Engineer or Advanced Quality Engineer at a Tier 1 automotive supplier; assemblies experience with multiple components, working with large BOM (100 plus).
Hands on Experience and Proficient in; PSO, PPAP, SPC Inspection Gauges, FMEA, APQP, 8D, problem solving with verification and Lean Manufacturing principles.
Bachelors degree (or Bachelor's equivalency) in Quality Engineering or related field; Equivalent combination of education and experience also accepted.
Sound knowledge of; Geometric dimensioning and tolerances; Familiar with manufacturing methods and systems Primary Tasks:
Define and update the inspection instructions according to the control plan (e.
g.
final inspection instructions Approve the work instructions on the production lines and thus ensure that all necessary inspections are included, the necessary time is allocated in the standardized work sheets and that the related measuring equipment is available and meets requirements (e.
g.
R&R study, etc) Ensure the respect of the control plan Archive all quality records in accordance with the control plan Support the production supervisors in the implementation of the Quality Basics (train, implement, track, alert in case of deviation) Performs regular audits (covering all shifts) to ensure respect of the standardized work by the operators Active participation in the problem solving process (QPS)and sustain the rigorous application of the method Update daily the quality indicators for the dedicated production area and ensure that the quality indicators are well tracked by the Line Leaders for the lines Drives continuous improvement in the dedicated production area Ensures the respect of the ISO/TS 16949 requirements within the dedicated production area Authority to stop non-conforming product and production and immediate escalation to the Quality Manager Any other duties that may be assigned.
