A Bachelor of Science or Science Technology degree in a discipline related to the manufacturing environment (Manufacturing Engineering Technology or Manufacturing Engineering preferred).
2-3 years cumulative experience in a manufacturing environment combining machine or process operation, skilled trade work, administrative & engineering experience, preferably in an automotive or high output and automated machining process environment.
Hands on experience with production processes, design, tooling, programming, statistics; experience with continuous improvement implementation within diverse or complex situations and giving presentations.
Stamping, machinery, or assembly experience.
CNC machine tools & controls.
Position Description:
Utilize skills gained from education and work experiences, systematically implement continuous improvements.
Will professionally communicate and facilitate with all personnel while ethically supporting the goals and policy of the department.
Process trouble shooting, root cause analysis.
Short period stops, downtime, defect & cost reduction.
PLC & CNC programming & troubleshooting.
Feasibility & time studies.
Schedule, budget and project management.
Production control charts & PFMEA document maintenance; tool testing & improvement.
Machine design improvement.
Visual presentation making & giving, data procurement & analysis, equipment procurement and supplier development.
