Continuous Improvement Specialist (J262797)

Description o Facilitates Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing exercises throughout the Plant.
o Develop training material for various disciplines of Lean Manufacturing.
o Team with Engineering and Shift Supervisors in solving problems encountered and in refining processes work methods, etc.
o Complete time studies to develop production standards for products.
o Calculate cost reductions and/or various analyses to determine optimal method.
o Team with the Plant Controller to document savings and profit results of continuous improvement activities.
o Accountable for tracking all lean, CI Projects, and reporting progress out to plant staff.
o Team with Business Unit Managers on layout and work instruction implementation.
o Comply with policies and procedures pertaining to facility or divisional adopted standards such as TS 16949 and ISO 140001.
Qualifications o Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Pkg, IE, ME, IS, Materials, etc) or other related fields.
o 3-5 years experience in a lean manufacturing environment with a record of proves accomplishments, automotive experience strongly preferred.
o Demonstrated experience administering Engineering Change Notices(ECN) and Bill of Materials (BOM).
