Procurement Business Unit Manager - Johnson Controls (plymouth, michigan)

Control and manage all divisional Program Purchasing activities for a defined Business Unit in cooperation with the Commodity Purchasing Groups. Manage buyers and other Purchasing staff to manage Purchasing for the Business Group. Control and approve all program purchasing activities and decisions in line with customer demands and commodity strategies starting from phase 0 and over lifetime. Accountable for achieving the European Purchasing goal and action plans. Meet or exceed profit plan goals:
Cost Savings, economics, quality, supplier rationalization, LCC content and other agreed objectives. Lead, motivate, support and develop employees in the Purchasing organization. Guarantee financial control over the programs from phase 0:
5 and over lifetime. Coordinate the supply chain requirements e.g. when/how to source, early sourcing, cross program supplier selection etc. Guarantee integration and communication with SDT Teams all over Europe. Ensure smooth
project launches by controlling the acquisition, sourcing deliverables in line with cost and MoB target, maintaining purchasing results until SOP. Support of proper Make or Buy decisions. Guarantee compliance with BOS, PLUS and POS procedures. While supporting proper Make or Buy decisions. Improvement of program:
profitability as well as of all purchasing activities for the purposes of continuous improvement through global sourcing, long/life:

years in automotive Purchasing/Supply Chain including life:

yrs as an automotive Purchasing Manager or 5+years as an automotive Lead/Senior Buyer. Demonstrated experience in controlling cost, LCC cost analysis, etc. Experience with 150M
spend of Purchasing/Supply Chain in automotive industry. In depth knowledge of Purchasing/Supply Chain tools within the automotive industry. Proficient with MSOffice and SAP and other softwares. Bachelor degree, BS, Supply Chain Management or related fields. 5
years in automotive Purchasing/Supply Chain including life:
cycle program management. 2
