Responsibilities:
Manage and participate in supply chain activities as follows:
Develop, implement and manage commodity supply chain strategies Manage supplier cost reduction activities, internal and external, including VA/VE initiatives Manage supplier development and performance (quality, delivery, value) Conduct price and contract negotiations Participate in make vs. buy analysis and decisions Manage supplier source selection Support Cost Estimating with supplier quotes Support Program Management on new program launches Work with manufacturing facilities to
address supplier opportunities and concerns Education and
Experience:
Bachelors Degree in related field Minimum 5 years experience in purchasing Experience in strategic sourcing and understanding of materials management concepts and total cost of ownership The following are also pluses:
ISM C.P.M., C.P.I.M., or A.P.P. certification Knowledge of automotive quality systems Source:
