2nd and 3rd Shift Welders
We are currently seeking a Repair Welder for our client in Wixom, MI. We are looking for welders to work 2nd and 3rd shift. This person will repair surface defects such as dings, dents, and buckles, in exhaust systems by performing the following duties:
Visually examines and feels surface of part to determine extent of defect. Fills holes and gaps of defected part by Mig welding area based on specifications. Smooth welded or defected area by Tig welding if required per specification. 100% repair work on parts requires operator sign-off and documentation of all non-conformances. Parts are placed on in-process racks to be leak tested Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of the company within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualification / Work
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 to 3 months' related experience and/or training in manufacturing setting. One
year certificate from college or technical school. All welders must pass each standard global re-certification test as required. Required to take qualification tests using the GMAW (MIG/MAG) and GTAW (TIG) processes as referenced in ENA welder policy. Competence:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions Strives to continuously improve expertise. Ability to handle multiple tasks smoothly in situations containing a moderate to high level of stress. Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment. Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. The ability to follow-up on projects and ensure all items are completed on time with all necessary data required and supporting documentation. Follows instructions, responds to management direction. Follows policies and procedures, Problem Solving, Strategic Thinking, Written communication Takes responsibility for own actions; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Self-motivated and to work with minimum supervision. Ability to work as a Team Member towards overall company objectives. Communicate and present proper information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Other:
This position involves working indoors around mechanical and hazards, fumes, irritants, with exposure to cold, heat and high noise levels under adverse conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
