Summary:
Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
Responsibilities:
Performs initial and on:
going assessments of patients condition.
Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
Oversees activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.
Participates in quality and educational initiatives, maintains current knowledge of the specified profession by participation in formal educational programs and workshops, attendance of all mandatory staff meetings, in services and competency training.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy required.
Graduate of program approved by American Physical Therapy Associate (APTA) or Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of American Medical Association.
Masters degree in Physical Therapy preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Basic Life Support required.
Physical Therapist licensure in the State of Michigan required.

One year of experience preferred.
