Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Formulate, melt and characterize glass and glass/ceramic compositions -Develop novel glass compositions -Prepare powders using conventional and novel methods -Study effect of composition and glass red-ox behavior on final product performance Will supervise at least one laboratory technician
Qualifications:
-PhD in Glass Science, Ceramic Engineering, Inorganic Chemistry, or Materials Science with 1
years related experience, MS in Glass Science, Ceramic Engineering, Inorganic Chemistry, or Materials Science with 3
years related experience, or BS in Glass Science, Ceramic Engineering, Inorganic Chemistry, or Materials Science with 5
years related experience -Experience with Photovoltaic and/or electronics metallization applications preferred -Experience developing and preparing low melting glass compositions for electronics or sealing applications preferred -Experience characterizing low melting glasses preferred -Experience with combinatorial methods/mixture designs is a plus -Thorough working knowledge of, and experience with, safely handling of hazardous chemicals and materials -Supervisory experience preferred -Excellent communication, organization, documentation skills -Ability to work effectively within a team and independently as needed -High attention to detail, self-motivated Click here to apply.
