Our primary facility, located in Wixom, Michigan, is responsible for all customer support including design, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and customer shipments.
All together we have approximately 165,000 square feet of production space and 400
employees.
We are seeking a Junior Engineer to learn Cost Estimating tosupport the department.
This position will require the following duties and
Responsibilities:
:
Consult with customers, vendors, or personnel in various internal departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
:
Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors :
Confer with engineers and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
Qualifications:
:
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
:
Working knowledge of precision machining methods and processes a definite plus :
Previous Sales experience preferred :
Computer literate with in Microsoft Word and Outlook :
Intermediate level of knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel is mandatory :
Excellent written and verbal communications skills at the business and technical level :
