Responsible for prioritizing the BU requirements, goals and leading activities regarding product material cost, supplier technology alignment and supply assurance.

Responsible for Lifestyle program sourcing and all procurement deliverables from New Product Launch (NPL) to End of Life (EOL) for North America based customers.

Responsible for Platform Sourcing and working in conjunction with Development Engineering to develop cost effective platforms for various product segments.

Developing long term program sourcing strategies for Lifestyle programs.

Collaborating successfully with key work partners and maintaining relationships at the management level.

Responsible as lead interface and advocate for Procurement into all relevant functions of the HARMAN organization (including engineering, quality assurance, project managers and logistics) :

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree (Business or Mechanical Engineering) :

years of related experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Management, Program Management, Program Sourcing with a record of increasing responsibility Desired Characteristics:

A Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering :
Ability to work independently, establishing priorities, setting goals and decision making :
Strong relationship building skills and proven success collaborating with key work partners and the ability to maintain relationships at the executive level :
Proven ability to lead and influence diverse global teams to achieve cost, quality, and time to market commitments :
Strong presentation and writing skills :
Encourage and empower others to achieve; establish challenging performance standards; create enthusiasm, a feeling of investment, and a desire to excel :
