Operations Planning & Execution Process Improvement / Continuous Improvement (Shop Floor, Support and Back Room Operations) Manufacturing Process Control Inventory Control & Management Customer Relationship Management & Loyalty Quality Management Lean, Layout, Flow Root Cause Analysis/Corrective Action/Problem Solving Product Development, Commercialization & Launch Portfolio, Program and Project Management The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by staff assigned to this classification.

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION:
7 - 12 years experience with operations management and improvement, preferably in a lean manufacturing environment (Automotive or Medical Device Industry desirable) Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Business or related field; MBA preferred Previous consulting experience desirable Strong understanding of manufacturing operations with hands on shop floor experience Understanding of production scheduling and monitoring systems Understanding of labor controls Experience leading team-based process improvement projects generating measurable results Experience applying Lean principles to eliminate waste, improve layout, flow and drive continuous improvement Project Management (PMP) Certification a plus Fluent in the use of Microsoft Project 10 Experience managing projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment Experience creating performance metrics and scorecard Strong interpersonal and team building skills Strong communication and facilitation skills Strong critical thinking and problem solving skill TRAVEL and HOURS:
This is an exempt position that will require 45 - 55 hours per week including some Saturday on occasion.
50% - 75% travel is required with this position.
