Join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Mainframe Sales team as a Go to Market (GTM) Specialist!GTM Specialists are technically savvy resources responsible for identifying opportunities to innovate with customers, influencing the AWS product roadmap, and driving revenue for specific AWS service(s).
As a Worldwide GTM Specialist, you will own the growing adoption, utilization, and revenue for an AWS service.
Specifically, you will support AWS in the growth of the AWS Mainframe Modernization service - a cloud native platform to migrate, modernize, execute and operate mainframe applications.
AWS vision is to support our customers' mainframe modernization journeys to the cloud helping them drive cost savings, scalability, business agility and innovation while mitigating the risks of dependency on a shrinking pool of mainframe resources.
The AWS Mainframe Modernization service offers our customers a wide range of tools and powers the mainframe migration patterns of Replatform, Refactor and Data Augmentation.
The service also bundles methodologies, consulting services, investments, training and curated competency Partners to help mainframe customers accelerate benefits of cost reduction, business agility, resilience and data monetization.
Key job responsibilitiesThe WW GTM specialist for AWS Mainframe Modernization will gather customer and industry needs in partnership with AWS product teams to advance the AWS offerings.
As a GTM Specialist, you will work backwards from business needs and own, develop, and implement GTM plans and sales plays for AWS Mainframe Modernization service.
You will shape the messaging framework for this key service in collaboration with the Service and Marketing teams and advance the development of market facing collateral.
You will work closely with AWS Marketing, Services, Sales and Analyst relations teams to showcase our solutions at customer events at Summits, re:
invent.
You will support the General Manager for AWS Mainframe Modernization Sales in reporting on the progress of the business against goals and support the development of forward growth plans.
The ideal candidate will possess a business background that enables them to build GTM plans across wide and complex geographies, manage a diverse stakeholder map, engage at the CXO level as well as understanding of the AWS Migration and Modernization methodologies and understanding of the mainframe market landscape.
The candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, and the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.
Anticipated travel up to 30%.
