We are looking to hire a Part-Time Bus Driver to join our remarkable team!WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
The primary purpose of this position is to transport residents to and from appointments and activities in a safe manner to destinations located beyond the premises of the facility.
Provide safe transportation to and from activities/appointments for residents as scheduled.
Pickup and deliver items as directed to meet the needs of the community.
Assist each resident on and off the vehicle to ensure personal safety using proper and specified equipment and procedures.
Responsible for daily inspection and maintenance of the community vehicle (gas, oil, coolant, air pressure, lights, etc.
) and cleanliness of the interior and exterior.
Identify transportation issues/concerns to the Executive Director.
Attend and participate in service training programs to meet stateMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 18 years of age or comply with State or local laws regarding the employment of minors.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Driving record that meets facility's vehicle use policy.
Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public Suitable to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of each resident.
Capable of handling emergency situations.
