This position will be available at the Royal Oak headquarters,however, candidate will have the option of working remotely within any city in Michigan

Department Summary

The Equivalent Straight Time (EST)/Time Coordinator position is a complex role that encompasses the overall management of Gas and Electric OM&C time charges.
This role impacts Distribution Operations O&M and Capital budgets and uses lean management & continuous improvement to meet aggressive financial targets.

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Review OM&C timesheets for accuracy.
  • Review and track overtime call-outs from ARCOS.
  • Use the working agreement and local labor agreements to determine which rules apply when calculating EST charges.
  • Use Excel to calculate and document EST charges.
  • Enters EST charges into SAP weekly.
  • Hold standardized EST charge review meetings, and log meeting minutes.
  • Hold business partners accountable for following the standard work instructions.
  • Escalate risks to leadership and take steps to develop countermeasures.
  • Work with cross functional teams to problem solve and identify waste elimination opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma OR equivalent.
  • Two or more years of applicable work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in customer service and/or the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to multi-task and execute standard work instructions across multiple business units.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage schedules based on the needs of the operation.
  • The successful candidate must be detail oriented, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree.
  • SAP Proficiency.
  • SharePoint Proficiency.
  • Ability to present, speak in front of crowds, and conduct meetings.
  • Expertise on the working agreement & local union agreement related to EST and timesheet codes.
  • Proficiency with the understanding of lean management and the related concepts.
  • Expertise on use of Excel to develop templates & reports, through use of formulas & Excel functions.

Essential Functions

  • Calculating hours to charge OM&C employees using Excel.
    Time Coordinators are required to manipulate Excel entries based on data changes.
  • Using CATS timesheet transactions to review OM&C timesheets, correct errors, and review IDOC errors.
    In addition, the EST hours calculated must be entered into SAP back office (PA30).
  • Tracking hours charged by OM&C employees for multiple overtime assignments daily.
  • Effective two-way communication with the Union & Field Leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of the working agreement and EST Charging Rules.
  • Performs administrative support functions and more complex tasks including establishing relative priorities of current and anticipated workload and organizing and conducting assignments according to deadlines.
  • Provides backup phone and customer support.
  • Prepares and composes letters, reports, and correspondence and performs other clerical administrative support duties as directed from time to time.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Performs or establishes procedures for all clerical functions and actions including phones, filing, and general word processing, tracking of information, maintaining logs/spreadsheets, and other similar administrative support.
  • Under general direction, prepares special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, other areas of the Company, etc.
  • Ensures that requests for action or information are relayed to appropriate staff members; ensures that information is furnished in a timely manner; decides whether a higher authority should be notified of important or emergency matters.
  • Periodically evaluates process and program effectiveness and takes action to maintain continuous improvement.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures and contributes to the safety of co-workers and the general public.
  • Performs responsibilities in a manner that clearly shows effective communication and cooperation and that promotes open exchange of information, respect, high ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly manner.

  • Regular attendance is expected.

Hours and Travel

  • Hours of operation are 40 hours weekly between the hours of 7:

  • Meet travel requirements of the position.
  • Work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
